Get to Know Me
I am Melanie. A fully qualified integrative counsellor, and a registered member of the BACP. I am very passionate about what I do and I will draw on different aspects of my training to tailor an approach to best suit your needs. I believe it is the relationship that heals and I see each person as the unique individual that they are. I have worked with clients from various backgrounds with different presenting issues.
I work with both adults and young adults +16, in a calm, non-judgemental and supportive environment. My aim is to provide you with an empathetic space, where you feel seen and truly listened to and will support you to navigate through what is happening for you, and help you to explore why you do what you do. I hope, that here at Healy’s counselling, you will soon feel at ease, and as the trust grows, that you begin to open to yourself, learn to speak freely, explore your feelings and your patterns of relating to others, and as you do this, I will be here for you, to support you as you go on your journey. You do not need to do it alone.
Before qualifying as a counsellor I worked in the corporate world managing various teams to success. I was a natural confidant for people. People seemed to be automatically drawn to me to trust me with not only their difficulties at work, but also with their personal lives. This is when I decided to make a change and began to explore this. There was something there, and that is when my journey into counselling began. Having had counselling myself, I have not looked back since the day my journey began.
The therapy relationship, is the therapy
